When swapping a Y8 into a 5G- are the holes IN THE BLOCK for the driver's side mount identical to the holes for a Z6 or B7? I ask because an A6 mount doesn't fit exactly straight on a Z6 block. I'm looking for a factory fit and Z6's are scarce at this time but Y8's are abundant. Replacing a D15B7 in a 94 civic dx.

 

I can take pics of the y8 drivers side upper mount and you can look at it yourself. The a6 goes on pretty straight onto the y8, i have a pic of that i can share. I trimmed it up a little cause the a6 one is wider and gets a little too close to the timing belt.



I will take a pic of the y8 upper mount and post it if ya want. Matter of fact, if ya wanna buy it drop me an email. I have the y8 upper engine mount from a 98 civic ex.

Thanks for the input- I should have just asked if a Z6 mount will bolt on a Y8 and fit properly. Anyone??

 

Does the A/C bracket bolt up as well?

 

Which ac comressor are you gonna use????

The 4 bolt holes that hold the ac compressor bracket to the block are in the same location, however the 4 bolt holes that hold the compressor to the mounting bracket differ between the a6 to the y8. If you are gonna use the y8 compressor you will need the y8 bracket, and if you are gonna use the a6 compressor, you need to use the a6 compressor bracket.

Dont know about the z6 cause I havent used one.
