Should I go for it?
My friend was out on his dirt bike and he came upon a prelude that had been stolen a week or so before. He talked with the police and the insurence company and they told him he could have the car if he paid the tow fee. He's not sure if he wants the car so if he doesn't take it I might. If he does buy it he's only going to part it out anyway. My question is how much should I offer him for the motor if he gets the car? The tranny one the car is dead. Another question is how hard and how much is it to convert this setup to a manual or would I be better off buying the motor somewhere else? Sorry for the long post

What prelude is it? If its one of those old school 86-91's I'd just leave it there. For some reason thoughts of gasoline and matches came to mind.
If its 93 and up do what you can to get the motor, gotta be good for something.

The car is a 95 or 96 with the basic bold-on mods. It had a really nice exhaust system if you noticed I said had... who ever stole it and drove it up in the wood must have hit every possible thing they could the whole exhaust is torn to ****. The wheels are nice and the stereo system is sweet also. In my opinion I don't think the car was stolen I think the owner is trying to collect some cash from his insurance. Why else would nothing have been taken from the car.
