hmm.. interesting... i know u need to hook up those shielded wires correctly.. cuz if not they will get all kinds of interference from random things.. but to answer ur question.. i dunno...

i doubt it. at least on my one-wire sensors, i've never had a problem and its unshielded all the way to the ecu. also on all the write ups i've read, i've only seen one that suggests shielded. but i guess its a possibility depending on where you ran the wires. if they are near something that would cause electrical noise (alternator wires, etc??) then your chances of interference increase.
