trying to hook up reverse lights. my question is I have a grey 2 pin plug that comes from the tranny side and I think that there is 2 wires just below the distributor, vtec solnoid that have rubbery round plastic ends on them, I think that one is yellow and one is green coming from the engine harness. Are these the correct wires/plug that needs to be connected? can I cut the grey plug off and splice them together? also does anybody know if you have to have reverse lights to pass inspection in Virginia? my setup is b18c1 with cable tranny in a crx.

so I need to cut the grey plug off and splice the wires to the yellow/green wires?

udate: well I cut the grey plug off at the tranny side and spliced the two wires from there into the yellow and green wires. my reverse lights come on but my car shuts off. I tried to switch around the connectors to see if they were backwards, same thing happened car shuts off. Is there something else I need to do? help.

um, i had my wires switched around and nothing happened, also i have them the right way now and everything works. So I am thinking its something else, other then these wires. Unconnect the wires completely and see if it runs right. If it still shuts off, then your problem is else where

I did a search and foud out that crx hf are funny. you have to cut the b9 pin at the ecu. so that what I did and very thing seams to be working fine.
