Default Radiator hose

Here's the deal: i have a 96 gsr motor in a 96 civic with stock civic radiator.
I cant find the right radiator hoses. I've tried a 96 gsr hose and 96 civic hoses, but none seem to match up..

What hoses do you recommend?
thanks

Why wouldnt the GS-R hoses work? Did you use the right clamp? The gsr hose is is a little to big on the radiator side, you just need to clamp it down good and it will work.

If you don't like doing it the "CLAMP-Down" ghetto way ....

Buy a reducer for the Hose to the Neck of the Radiator and it will look tons better !

Here take a look under "Radiator Adapters".....

or this site as well.....

You need a bigger radiator. The civic one will not be large enough to cool the b18. Get a 2 ply 99-00 si radiator or 94 del sol vtec radiator and use the upper and lower hoses from a si or sol vtec radiator. good luck.

How do you figure this ?

State facts not heresay (he said, she said).

Stock Civic, whether it's Single or Dual core radiator will be enough to cool Integra engines. I think most of us here, that have been around for years can vouch for this type of setup and ran setups this way allready.

my stock 00 ex civic radiator works fine with my gsr motor. just have to keep the upper and lower hoses clamped really tight so i don't leak coolant. it even kept cool in stop and go traffic during a south alabama summer.

You wouldn't believe how long I've been looking for one of these, thanks man.... btw. whatever you do, don't put tape around the neck of the radiator to assist in a tighter fit, it gets all gooey and can slip off.....
so... gsr upper hose w/adapter and stock lower hose with a lot of bitching and cussing to get it on the engine......

Ok mr. expert guy. I have heard from several people that the tiny civic radiators are not large enough to cool a b-series. I am just passing information along that I have heard from say the tech crew frm osofast racing. Don't be a jackass and claim you have been in the game for "years." You don't know me. ***.

yes, you can use the civic radiator. but it is not recomended...you can crimp the gsr hose on the civic radiator and you'll be risking a 'blowout'.

be wise, 'do it once, do it right.'

just get a delsol vtec radiator(yes its a dual core even though its half the size of an integ radiator). any radiator shop can get them for $105 new with a warranty.

Not if you are using the proper hose to radiator reducer as stated.

Cooling a B-Series motor with a single core radiator is great for a daily commuter/driver & some ocassional agressive driving.

Now if you're allways pushing your car to it's limits, then def. a "Dual Core" radiator from an Civic Auto EX or Del Sol DOHC will perform better for you in the long run.

all you have to do is buy a radiator hose for a 94-95 del sol dohc vtec, i ran into the same problem, oh and by the way there are hard as hell to find so go to the dealer there pretty cheap.

The GSR or Si hoses will work if you do it right and yes the stock radiator will be sufficient. Get wither of those hoses and use a C-clamp on both the outlets on the motor and the radiator. You can also cut a piece of the Civic hoses (about 2") and put them on, then put the GSR/Si hose over that and clamp it. That way it won't bottleneck on you.

be practical with or without being agressive with your driving...

I know from road racing to use a bigger rad. or 2 core rad. with a B18C. I learned the hard way. I blew the headgasket and warped the head. I even blew a piston ring. Big Bucks.

Better to invest in good radiator and hoses.

sorry to bring this back from the dead, but does anyone know what the dimensions of the diamter of the hose and length that I need to buy to get my ls motor radiator hose to plug into my auto ex 98 civic stock radiator. its already a dual core radiator, its just the radiator is a smaller diamter and clamping this **** sucks cause it still leaks.

Just for future reference, i'm using a civic radiator to cool my h22 still, and have had no problems, I also used the stock radiator to cool my old b18.
