Default R shifter in EF

I have a chance to get a type R shifter for cheap and i was wondering, will it fit in an ef? it seems to have a kink in it where as mine dosent have a kink as much. Is it any shorter? TIA

i have one in my civic...the kink helps the throw seem shorter, at least thats how it feels but its way longer than my DC sport which i snaped.....it has to be modded or you can mod the linkage, but yer better off off just spending $30 for the APC unit at pepboys...its surpisingly smooth...my friend has one of those things and it shocked me

Im getting it for 10 bucks. what do you have to do to make it fit? Is it even worth it?
