I have a 95' gsr engine swapped into my 95' ej. During the swap I had to make the wire for the O2 sensor longer. I have reason to believe that I might have crossed the two black wires going to the oxygen sensor. (2 black, 1 white, 1 green wires). Can anybody tell me if this is a problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If they touched and you turned the ignition 'on', then yeah, some damage could have occured. The fuse could have blown (Fuse 31, 15A, under-dash) or the ECU could have taken the hit.
Are you getting a Code 41?
What seems to be the problem?

Yes... I am getting a code 41. However, I just started to get it. When I first installed the swap I was not getting any codes. However, I did just swap in a used O2 sensor that I pulled off of my old swap about a year ago. I was not getting any cells with the old O2 sensor, but I did notice some poor performance. I disconnected the old O2 sensor and found that the engine performed better. I figured that that sensor was dieing, so I pulled the sensor and put in the one that I had lying around. When I plugged the new one in, everthing appeared to be ok. After driving it for about 5-10minutes, I noticed that the cell light came on. Now everytime I start the car, there is no "check engine" light. Then, after about 5-10 mins., it comes on. This seems strange to me because I thought that the CE light would come on everytime you start the car until you reset the ECU. (pull the 7.5 amp fuse under the hood).
I know that this is difficult to follow at points, so if you can't understand it you can IM me or hit me up on AIM: SpyderZEX. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

The CEL should always come for 2 seconds when you turn the ignition 'on'. During this same time, the fuel pump will prime and quit when the CEL goes out.
After this 2 sec delay, if your ECU sees a 'hard' fault, the CEL will come on immediately....an example is a busted O2 heater element. I had CEL 65 (for the 2nd O2) pop up on me one day. It did turn out to be the sensor after verifying with a multi-meter.
Have you tried your old O2?
Have you tried another ECU?
Do you have Helms?
Do you have a multimeter?
Aside from just replacing stuff, you need a meter to do some resistance measurements as outlined in the Helms manual.
