Question About H22/Prelude Transmissions
I've got a 97 Integra RS with an OBD1 H22 in it. Car is awesome but I live in NY and cant get the car to pass emissions inspection because of some random misfire codes. I was going to swap the oil pump to a OBD2 one and get a OBD2 distributor and all that, but I think the best thing to do is just get an OBD2 engine and be legit.
If I'm going to shell out over $3K for another swap though I'd like to get Type-S swap. I'm not sure if that transmission will work though? I think the Type-S tranny has that ATTS **** on it like the SH does. Anyone know if that is right or not?

No I don't think that is correct. I think the SH is the only one with atts. Type S has an LSD, and higher comp.

Type-S has ATTS & 220ps.
S-Spec has LSD & 220ps.
To put in a OBD2 ECU, and have the car run, you also need to install all of the immobilizer crap or the car won't start! With a Type-SH or Type-S if you don't wire up everything for the ATTS, it will just be dead weight.

Re: Question About H22/Prelude Transmissions (alphajesse)
I have a 96 P13 so it doesn't have the imobilizer. Is it possible to run a type s motor with a non atts tranny?

yes but you will have to built a custom plate to mount on the back of the block to use the base model halfshaft.
I persoanlly think the oil pump, distributor etc would be easier myself.
