QSD vs EVO kit
Going H2B soon in my Ek sedan and was wondering the pros and cons between these two kits. I know qsd is much cheaper and has ground clearance. The evo comes with mounts, hood spacers and etc. but doesn't have good ground clearance cause the motor sits upright vs the tilt with the qsd. Everywhere I read upon it there older post for early 2000s and I think the kits have changed since then (atleast evo has)??? Not sure but what kit do yall prefer?

I am doing an h2b and went with a PLM kit, which is a copy of the QSD. Everything fit almost perfect with stock mounts.
Depending on what parts you already have from b-series swap, and what you are planning to buy new or used, both will end beaing around the same. Lets say, of you add mounts, flywheel, clutch, etc to the QSD it will end costing the same as the EVO.
The advantage I see with QSD is tha besides the plate, everything else is stock b-series, so you can run whatever clutch, flywheel, mounts, etc. you want.
The PLM is even cheaper and I had no issue. Plate & flywheel adapter, the most critical parts, are CNC. And mid shaft mount and engine mount are well done too.
If it was me, I will go with PLM kit again. They also gave me a discount when bought the h2b header.

Looks damn good bro! I currently just have the b series shift linkage and axles that a buddy gave me. Trying to way my options but I'm leaning toward the qsd. What trans are you running? What's a good site to buy the acessories. Header, mounts etc.?

The firewall is what separates engine compartment from car interior.
The damper pulley is close to the side frame, but have more than enough clearance. Clearance with fram is one of the few things you shoul pay attention, but have been resolved by many. Very to solve. Reasearch other threads.

Qsd if:
You want to be able to shift above 7k rpm
You care about supporting the original company in the h2b arena.
You want your transmission and axles to be in the stock location.
Evo if:
You won't be shifting above 7k
You don't like the idea of a flywheel spacer.
You don't mind supporting bisimoto.
You want the hood to close without spacers.
Ideally I would have used a qsd kit with an evo flywheel. But I was poor and just used the evo kit. It was ****. Some people don't have problems with the evo kit, most do though. Go with qsd and if a flywheel spacer bothers you, find a h2b specific flywheel. Plm is copycat garbage. If you care about supporting the originals don't buy from them.

Thanks for the info! How are people running stock h mounts with qsd ? Unless theyre piecing it H and B seies trans mount. Hell I dunno I keep reading that you save on going qsd.
I may be wrong, but I had my h2b tuned at bisimoto and was told bisimoto was the first to make this . Was told a story of how he took it to the track and people asked bout his setup. He showed them what he did and then qsd copied the idea. I also currently run an h2b from qsd and now turboed. Just stating what I was told by bisimoto himself. Not hating on anyone.
What chassis? I really want input on how they ran it on a ek. I hear alot has changed with the evo kit over years to better the adapter but hell I only see post from 2008! Qsd is also a option but I just wanna see a list of it pieced together .
