Default Oil squirters???

Does installing the oil squirters from a VTEC in a non-VTEC block really help in revs in an LS/VTEC type setup? What would I be able to rev to if I didn't have them and what would I be able to rev to if I did?

Any help is appreciated.

the squirters alone will not allow you to rev any higher, but they'll keep the cylinders more lubricated. if you're building a road race motor you'll DEFINATELY want to plumb squirters, but if it's a street/drag car you don't need them. it's actually better not to have them for drag, as the more oil on the pistons, the more they weigh, hence more effort to move. the ls rods have oil passages in them which lubricate the bottom of the pistons, and further lubrication comes from the 'splashing' of the crank.. it throws oil everywhere. even using aftermarket rods (none that i know of have the oil passages that the stock ls rods have) without the squirters is fine for drag/street driving..

I agree with bojangs but the only part I disagree with is the crank splashing in the pan, the crank will never splash the oil in the pan.
