OK, ive got a b16a3 in a 98 EK. Everything was going fine, until three weeks ago. I was driving through some high speed turns in the mountains, and my oil light came on. I stopped the car imediatly, checked the oil, it was about a third of a quart low, so i topped it off and drove home with no problems. My car sat for about three weeks while i was doing some suspension work. Today i went to get a final alignment, and the oil light started blinking. I looked on the garge floor, there was no oil on it. I checked the oil level, it was fine. The light goes out if i bring the RPM's above idle. So what gives??? Info would be great.

 

it seems like your oil pump is going bad.

also check to see if you crushed your oil pan, you might have a clogged oil pick up.

 

sounds like a clogged pickup screen.

 

Do i just pull the pan to do that??

 

yeah you can pull the pan to check it but pretty sure it's an oil pump, and thats not an oil light thats an idiot light (means way low low oil) have a nice day

 

dont drive around, u are probably murdering your bearings

 

The car hasnt moved, i got a new oil pump and guess what???
