Default obd0-obd2

i was thinking about doing a project gas mileage car. Starting with either a 88 or 89 crx hf or dx. My idea would be to successfully swap in an HX motor and achieve superior gas mileage. Would this be out of the question? The reason for choosing the HX motor is that it makes 45 mpg in a 2300 pound hx, and makes 115hp, which is leaps and bounds above the hp rating of the base model crx's. My thinking is this: An hx motor in a crx would be fun to drive becuase of that added power AND because it should get even BETTER mileage in a lighter crx. Would the hardest part be converting the car from obd0 to obd2? Does anyone think this swap is do-able? I would probably want to keep the hx transmission. Does the hx come equipped with a hydraulic transmission? Im thinking that would be hard to do also, equipping a cable transmission car with a hydro tranny. I doubt any of you have done this swap, but what from you all know, does it seem possible or not?
