OBD0-OBD1 conversion GURUS HELP NEEDED
I'm almost done my b18c1 w/ JRSC into 91 CRX Si swap... I'm running the GSR (Obd1) ECU and distributer... I converted the plugs on the CRX engine harness to work for the job and also needed to remove the injection resistor box. Now I have enough stuff together to start the car... OR SO I'D THINK... It cranks, but won't run... It's getting spark, and it's getting gas. But I think somehow it's not getting gas in the right order??? I have gas dripping out my exhaust header (haven't put the downpipe on yet). I also have gas coming out the throttlebody (haven't put the air intake on yet.... WHAT HAVE I DONE WRONG. I went over the wiring on the 2 distributer plugs and also the wiring done to bypass the injection resistor box. Both of my wiring jobs look good... any suggestions?????????
TIA

If you know for a fact you got a good engine then check your spark plugs to make sure they're not flooded. It usually takes about 10-15 minutes of cranking to get an engine running after a swap.

no, it takes 10-15 minutes to fry a starter motor. if it takes you that long to start your car, you have problems
anyways, you mentioned you have fuel and spark, but you're not sure if you're getting fuel in the right order. do you know if you're getting spark in the right order? double check your plug wires as i've heard many people make this mistake. also, what motor was in there originally? did you have to do the DPFI -> MPFI swap? or was it originally MPFI?

motor that was originally in there was first generation JDM b16-- it's a CRX SI anyway, so I don't think the harness ever needed to be converted from DPFI to MPFI... I'm using the GSR ECU, and the GSR distributer that I never took off the GSR engine that I dropped in. The engine ran fine before the swap.
Go over the wiring to your distributor and injectors. Since you switched to OBD1 parts and rewired, start there and check over everything also don't rule out the ECU jumper either. Check the order of your fuel injectors and the firing order of your plug wires.
I must have a leaking injector because the remaining fuel pressure in the originally pressurized fuel system seems to be draining itself into my intake manifold--- I got a ton of gas draining out of the throttle body when I left the car sit after originally trying to crank it over.
