Default obd0 dizzy on lsvtec?

can i use the 91 obd0 dist on my p72 head? im gonna run a pr3 or do i have to get a vtec dist?

I've read quite a few posts on here about people cutting the leg off of an ls dizzy to make it work on a vtec head but most of them had problems with idle and they didn't last long. You can get an obd0 dizzy for less than 150 on ebay, i think the guys name is distributer king or something along those lines.
