OBD 0 to 1 Conversion, Code 20 ELD?????
I swapped a 93 b18a with an obd1 pr4 ecu into a 90 civic std. The ecu is throwing a code 20 for electronic load detector. I checked and according to the wiring conversion guide i used to wire in the ecu the eld wire is hooked up right. Does anyone know where the eld is located in the civic std or if there even is one? Is there any voltage I can use instead at the ecu to prevent the code????? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
If your civic is like my 88 prelude....Your car doesnt have an ELD....IF YOU DID HAVE ONE...it is under the engine compartment fusebox. Now does your CEL stay on??? Because mine doesnt (i have a obd1 jdm h22a) and i have the same CEL..Turns out that the 88-89 preludes dont have ELDs and the 90-91 preludes do. ELD doesnt hurt performance or anything like that...Only thing the ELD does is kick up the idle when electronics are used...(sunroof,power windows...ect) So i wouldnt worry about it.
Hope this helps

Thanks for the info, the car is also tripping a map sensor code so I am not sure if the cel will stay on for the eld code as well once the map sensor is fixed. I just wanted to know ahead of time so when go to work on it tonight I can fix it all at once. Thanks again!
