Not starting...
Just finished installing a b16a1 into a '90 Civic Si...everything went smoothly until trying to start it. It's not getting fuel or spark and the fuel pump is not priming. I thought it was the main relay but swapped for a known-good relay and it didn't help. Swapped in another igniter for ***** and giggles and also tried the old Si ecu...no go. Any ideas??! I've triple-checked the wiring (adding the 4 wires isn't that difficult ) and it is fine...this is starting to get really annoying

EDIT: BTW, the car ran fine before the swap...

Re: Not starting... (clendaniel)
check your dist wiring, your ign wire is the white wire coming from the dist. make sure the dist wire is wired to the white wire on the harness end.

Re: Not starting... (doc804)
Just got it...ended up pulling all the harness connectors on the towers and cleaning them with contact cleaner as well as wire brushing the grounds. Fires up fine now. I was getting pretty frustrated...I mean it's not a hard swap. Took it for a spin and the little bastard hauls some ***!
Just need to play with the clutch cable some and find a way to hold the speedo cable into the vss port on the tranny...it's pushed in for now but I'd like to give it back to the kid a little better than that.
