new engine install
so i have a 98 civic that had a gsr engine in it, i recently pulled the engine and had to make some mods to get it to fit out of the car. when i go to install the new gsr engine can i just jack the car as far as my jack will go and just slide the new engine in,lower the car(to the ground since the tires are off) bolt up the mounts and then go about tightening the tranny on , wires and vacuum lines?
i think this will work oh and i will remove the axle so i have clearance.
i know this is a super common swap but i cant find any posts about it. so anyone whos done the swap this way please help or direct me to a post.
thanks

Just reverse the way you got it out. Everyone has there own way of doing the swap but since you were able to pull the motor out already then it should go back in the way it came out.
yeah getting it out involved a angle grinder, soooo i would prefer not to do that to get it in..
i pulled it out and i think that instead of lowering it in that putting it under the car would work easier.
the strut tower gets in the way and overall their just isnt much clearance past the mount.
