ok one of my friends found a good deal for a 99 civic ex motor which the car was wrecked and he wants to put the motor in his 92 dx hatch but what kind of stuff would he have to do to get the motor into his car.
I heard you have to get a ecu to go with the vtec but how hard would it be to do the swap. Thanx in advance for any help that would be appeciated.

Use an OBD1 P28 ECU and reuse the stock OBD1 injectors. That's really all that you would need if the motor is a complete longblock. If you get a 92-95 Si or EX engine harness it will make for a near plug and play swap because all 92 model Civic's are prewired for VTEC on the cabin side. There are a few minor things to do but overall it's a very easy swap.
