need help with map sensor wiring and b16a problems. HELP
i have a 94 civic that i am doing a b16a swap. did the whole swap. plugged in all the wires that i could but for some reason i dont have a wire for my map sensor and thought about doing this ghetto riggin. what pins do i put the 3 wires into? can someone please help me? plus the car has been acting strange... it wont stay started. i checked the sparkplugs and wires. i am getting spark. the motor cranks when i put the correct firing order but doesnt start. when i switch the spark plug wires around... it starts but doesnt stay running. is it bcuz of the map sensor or what is it? it was running perfect when i pulled it out of my brothers car. when it was pulled out... the tps sensor broke and i replaced that sensor... is that the case? maybe i didnt install the sensor correct? please help
Tps has to get recalibrated if you put in a new one.Check to see if your cam to crank timing is good then check the wires for the distributor.Make sure map sensor and the tps sensor plugs are not mixed.what harness by the way?
the harness is just the b16a harness i believe. i was kind of thinking it is the timing but don't know how it would go off... how do i get the tps sensor recalibrated? map sensor and tps is not mixed. i know that for sure bcuz when the tps broke... i left the broken part into the plug to know which one it was....
i will check my timing and see what that will do. thanks
i will check my timing and see what that will do. thanks
okay... i checked out my timing and it was off by a tooth or so... but while i was retiming my b16a... i found out that my distributor is messed up... grrrr anyone have one?
