need help!!!! IAT
we did the swap as smoothly as possible for a backyard job ... we started the car up and everything, but the car does not seem to be running so great, so we tested the ecu and got 2 codes 5(MAP sensor) & 10 (IAT sensor)... we fixed the MAP sensor code (easy fix), but we have no clue on where the IAT sensor is at or how to fix the IAT sensor!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!
again the engine is a 3rd gen DOHC ZC (non v-tec) engine, any help is greatly appreciated, thanx in advance

Re: need help!!!! IAT (heyzeus2003)
you're in luck. I was just looking through my helms helping a friend out when I came across the IAT sensor. this is from my 93 prelude HELMS but I'm pretty sure it's the same for most Obd1 honda/acuras.
it's located on the driverside part of the intake manifold. under the diaphram for the dual butterfly system of the intake manifold. should be a green/white wire and a red/yellow wire that leads to it. to check if it's good, you need to measure resistance between the 2 terminals on the IAT sensor. should be .4-4.0 k ohm. if not, then it needs to be replaced.
if it turns out fine, measure the voltage between the red/yellow terminal and body ground. should read approx. 5v. if it's ok, then measure voltage, between the red/yellow terminal and green/wht terminal. should read approx 5v. if not, then check wiring and connector.
hope this helped. good luck.
