Double check all your wiring connections and especially your grounds. Make sure the battery is charged and the terminals are clean. Does the starter even try to turn? Or not? Also, you mention an auto to manual conversion. Did everything associated with that get installed correctly. The clutch switch thing that allows you to start the car?(can't think of the name right now )?

It should be located at the top of the clutch pedal. It's like an activation switch that allows you to start the car. That's why when you press the clutch pedal in you can start the car and when you don't, you can't start it. It's called the clutch interlock switch or the clutch pedal switch.

did you wire the auto slector switch to make the car think it is in park or netural. If not it will not let you start the car.

Ok so you changed from an auto to a manual? There will be no clutch interlock switch since that's only imbedded in the harness from the ignition switch to the ECU of manual car. Since your car was an auto you have the shift interlock wiring. This needs to be wired so that the car "thinks" it's in park. Even though the car is a manual now, the wiring to the igntion switch is still auto. You will also need to tap into the reverse wiring and run it out to the plugs on the tranny so you have working reverse lights.
Some people say to short it out or whatever, but the best thing to do is locate the wire for park and the wire on the other side of the selector switch that makes the connection when it's in park. Just wire those 2 permanently together and you're done. You can also keep the selector switch and tuck it under your console and move it out of park when the car is off for a starter kill

Connect the GRN/WHT wire on one side of the shift selector to the BLK wire on the other side. I would run a jumper wire from one wire to the other and try starting the car before making the connection permanent. That way you can make sure it works before cutting the wires.
I did the auto to manual wiring in a 91 CRX but the color coding was different. Going by my Helms book this should be the correct way, but I would test it with a jumper wire just to save time. If it's not, then let me know and I'll go over it again. If you need help with the reverse light wiring let me know.
