Default need help with engine code

i have a customer that has a 97 accord with a 98 prelude engine.it had a civic ex ecu in it and threw several codes and did not run good.i got him a 96 prelude ecu and it works but throws code 20-electronic load detector.i am going to have to work on it next week and was wondering if anyone has come across this problem before so i would know what to try.also the ecu is an auto ecu and of course it throws a code for that too.is there a way to trick the ecu so it doesn't throw this code or do i need to send the ecu back and get a manual one?
