Default Need clarification B16A (99-2001)

there is a place in canada that currently has a b16a engine for 3500 cdn. which IMO is really good.

now, it says that its a 2nd gen and from a 99-01 vtec.

Now this is gonna be my first swap, and perhaps the only swap within the next 4 years, my 98 civic hatch currently has a SOHC D16 in it.... stupid car loses speed going up a hill in 3rd gear,

now i originaly wanted to go with a b18c or c5, those aint cheap and another local shop quoted me for 5500 cdn for the engine + installation, but no water pump or timing belt, i can probably drop it down to 4500/5000 if i come to him with cash in my hand, but its still a little pricey.

but as far as i can tell, the b16a isnt exactly a slouch either.

So can i please get as much technical info as i can from first hand knowledge of the engine, i used the search button but didnt find what i was looking for.

so
- engine flywheel hp, and if anyone knows stock whp
- top hp with standard mods without going FI ( i/e/h/cams and camgears + ecu)
- is it worth ?
- good engine to turbo/super charge
- will a 99-01 b16a fit into my 98 civic hatch with no custom mounts? is it a direct bolt in or no?
- any extra info is greatly appreiciated, i need to do this soon or wait till next year.

thank you.

EDIT : also anyone know the legal ramifications of engine swaps in canada? Do they even care? i know in the US they make you put in engines that are either same year or younger, do they even care in canada? As far as i know when you do tech inspections they just do the sniff test and if you pass you pass.

stock hp-158, flywheel hp-133-137
top end (I am assuming you refering to top speed here)- 142 I believe
No, if you can afford something better(c1, c5)
Most honda engines (depending on how much money you want to disperse)can be very good to you if you take of it, like it is your child
Yes, it will be direct bolt-in, except you will need 99 si rear tranny mount and drive side mount
extra info- invest some real time and patience in reading and researching and you will enjoy life more
