Default motor swap

I have a civic vx and I want to do a swap. Does anyone know where I can find out information on my ECU wiring? I have a p07 ECU, but I cannot determine what wiring changes I need to make if I drop in a b16a2 or a d16z. I really need some help!

The wiring is going to be basiaclly the same with what ever swap you decide to do. The only diffference in the 2 engines is the knock sensor as the ECU goes.

so the vx does not have a knock sensor?, which pin on the connector do I need to tap into for the knock sensor? Thanks for the help.

No, it does not. You will run a wire to D3.

thanks man,
so that solves the knock sensor question ( is the knock sensor in both the b16a2 and the d16z?), I was also reading about the O2 sensor difference in amount of wires, what do I need to do for this? After I take care of the knock sensor and the O2 sensor am I done?

O2 Sensor Input - WHT to D14 (needs to be a shielded wire)
Heater Control - BLK to A6
Sensor Ground - GRN to D22
Sensor Voltage - BLK to A25 or B1

If it is a OBD 1 car and a OBD 1 engine or a OBD 2 car with OBD 2 engine (you get my point), yes.

do you know what colour the knock sensor wire is on the engine wire harness? and for the O2 sensor wires I just move those wires you told me about on the plug that goes into the ECU, or is it that I run a wire from the engine wire harness to the ECU like for the knock sensor?

I believe the knock sensor wire is a Blue/Yel wire. It's mounted at the rear of the engine near the cylinder head.

For the O2, yes just match up the ECU pinouts. You will just need to add the wires to the harness.

Sorry to be asking dumb questions but I want to get this correct the first time. So here is my simplification.
1. I splice a piece of wire from the yel/blue wire from behind the engine that is for the knock sensor and run it to the ECU where I hook it up to the D3 pin.
2. For the O2 sensor I do the same by splicing four wires from the engine bay harness to the ECU pin outs in the following arrangement
O2 Sensor Input - WHT to D14 (needs to be a shielded wire)
Heater Control - BLK to A6
Sensor Ground - GRN to D22
Sensor Voltage - BLK to A25 or B1
and then I am done, correct?
What about the existing O2 sensor wires that I will not use, do I just cut them?
I should have no more questions after this!
Thanks for all the help everyone.

Yes, Your car is a VX model that already has Vtec wired up so you do not have to wire it up.

Find the ECU pins that I told to run the 02 sensor from, If the they already have wires on them then use those wires for it. you understand?

You can also go to http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/tech/info.html They helped me out with some things when I did my swap.
