Misplaced ect sensor wire the cause of my CEL?
Ok I can not go outside and switch the wires because I am away for 3 weeks. I am using a GSR wiring harness for my B18C6 (Euro ITR) swap. For the longest time I could not figure out why I kept getting a CEL 6(ect sensor) but I was looking at some pics and I think I was trying to plug the wrong connector to my ECT sensor. Notice on the pic of my motor that the plug that goes into the sensor is green. I think that it is suppose to be grey!! Well if that's the case it's good and bad. Good because I know what the probelm is but bad because i'm a dumb *** Thanks for the help

What colors do you have in the green plug?? Do you have blue and black??
Your ECT wires should be green/black and red/yellow...do you see those wires?
Check to make sure that you don't have your ECT and VTEC oil pressure switch backwards.

you know you could be right b/c Im not sure the Euro models have the Vtec pressure switch ? I know the JDM models dont . unplugg the green one and plug in the missing one and see if you throw a COde 22 (vtec pressure switch) when you get back into town

Did you check the wires at the plug?? Do you see the wires that are supposed to be there??
Yes you need all the parts there, what are you going to do, remove parts from the head??
Look for the two wire colors that you are supposed to have at the ECT and plug them in..
