I have a d16a block with a z6 head that I'm dropping in my 89 ef hatch. My current question is why the part (don't know what it is) on the d16a6 doesn't have a sensor on it and on the d16a it does?
I'm not sure if this plug goes here, since this sensor wasn't on the old motor, but it's the only plug it would fit that it could reach.
No, that plug doesn't go there... that goes to the tandem valve on your dual port fuel injection unit. That sensor on your thermostat housing cover plate is actually your fan control switch... on your older block, it is located in a different place. It is located on the back of the block near the alternator... the sensor has two round pins sticking straight out from it, and the wires that go to it are found in a rather large looking black rubber cover. The wire colors are black and yellow/green.
Ok thank you. I've got it mostly wired up correctly now and am just waiting on a few parts to come in and I'll be able to wire in my injector wired and drop it in.
