Default MAP-sensor B18C1 - Where?

Hey.

To you this might seem like a stupic question but here goes.

I recently purchased a B18C4 (EDM, Sweden) the equivalent of your B18C1 I guess
(170hp DOCH VTEC w/ the dual intake runners-bit). I'll swap it into my '96 EK3, but still gathering parts.

The engine was delivered to me "clean", without tranny, starter, generator and such.
(I got the ECU though and have recently bought the wireing harness aswell).

My Question to you is:

Where is the MAP-sensor(box) located? Is it mouted on the firewall or elsewhere ?
I found a black "box" located under the intake manifold. Could that be what I'm looking for or is it something else?

I'm Thankful for any kind of advice. The knowledge doesen´t exist here in little Sweden where Hondas represent 0.4% of all cars.

for the US engines, it is on top of the throttle body with a three wire harness plugged in.

Ok found it!

*doh* Do I feel like Homer Simpson or what hehe

Do I plug the connector directly into the main wire harness or is there supposed to be some kind of "box" or something inbetween?

Thanks /NeMoo

it goes right into the wiring harness.

On older cars, DA, EF, BB etc... they are firewall mounted, which means that there was a vacuum hose that went from the Throttle body to the fireawall, then a 3 wire plug that went into the main harness.

On the newer cars, EG DC EK etc they are mounted on the throttle body and the wiring harness plugs right into that, no box inbetween.

good luck

This is what mine looks like.

The one in the pic that you posted looks like the older ones that had a hos connected from the intake/TB/manifold.
