Default major problem please read

i have a 95 ls with a jdm b20 and after the motor swap everything went great
but its no that great anymore.. every once in a while when i start the car the tach jumps like crazy my shift light flashes and everyting but the idle is smooth...when i rev it up it misses when i drive it it misses realy bad like the whole car will cut out then come back on ...but it only cuts out when i give it gas if im just cruisin the tach will still jump like crazy but the car dosnt cut out....

i thought it was my ignition modual so i put 1 of my 3 spare distributors on and no luck.i thought maybee the groung wire from the valve cover to the body(didnt have one on)so i put one on still no luck....ALSO NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

is it possible its the ecu IT ONLY HAPPENS ABOUT EVERY OTHER DAY OR SO

oh one more thing to add to my delima is that it will just shutoff while driving

OK, if you have a multi meter use your MC Dwell function and check erratic readings on the test tach lead located on your driverside harness. It's the one that has a rubber plastic cover over it. If the reading are erratic(not stable) chances are the ignition coil if failing. If the igniter(module) had an erratic signal your car wouldn't run. Good luck!!

I'm banking that your coil is toasted.
