Default lsvtech spec questions

ok i am getting a jdm b16 head. and i have found a machine shop that will do the work but i need some instructions. i would really like to be able to print out exactly what they need to do. like what hole to plug, where to drill the other hole and so on and so on. also is there anywhere that gives the instructions on how to do it and what head gasket am i going to need.
can i leave my stock internals in or should i do it all at once. and should i get like itr pistons or like je pistons. what else should i know too. sorry for all the questions but i dont know exactly what to do i know the jist but i really need like a site or something to tell me...and i have already looked at crvtech.com and i am doing ls.
thank you guys sooo much.
peace

print this!!!
http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/tech/lsvtec/howto.html

and if you want it to run nicely, build the block at the same time, the LS has really low compression with a b16 head. CTR pistons are nice for high compression street driving, don't plan to put nitrous, turbo, etc. on with those. do some research. www.jdmhondaparts.com/frameset.htm

If turbo, then keep the head. The only thing you need the machine shop to do to the head is drill the dowl holes. c-speed has a great write up. You can use an allen plug to plug the oil line as long as your comfy tapping a hole (it's really easy-just be sure to clean out the shavings).

You may want to get stainless valves on the exhaust side since the head is off.

Headwork really depends on your power goals. I think someone on this board pushed 300 whp with the greddy kit plus upgrades. A local shop here promised in the area of 20% increase. I don't know if I'd believe that. The point is to research shops' work and results.

You may want ss valves if you're gonna crank up the pressure so you won't have to worry about burning one. Exhaust only if money is tight.

what is the best valve for the buck. now i dont care about money but i do you know. i figure if the money i spend is really worth it then i will get it. on this build up i am not cutting myself short. i want the best. but i also like saving money...if that makes sense.
if i talked to a machine shop would they be able to tell me what i should do...i mean will they know what to do with a honda.
thanks guys for the help.

Port and Polish is great for NA apps, but you have so much turbulence with forced induction, its better to put the money in something else now. You shouldn't be burning any valves if its set up correctly.
But Ferrea would be the best. There is a Forced Induction thread about Valves.
With the money that's supposed to go to P&P, you can save for a nice Standalone Fuel management, or other fun toys.

Just for kicks, I have the stock bottom LSVTEC 9.6 CR. Not Horrible for Turbo, but could be lower.
And I'm not in a big rush for Built bottom until I save for sleeving and a new valvetrain. If you've ever seen the LS pistons, they're pretty flat-topped.

I don't know the Timeline of your setup, so you can do whatever you want.

That's what the honda recommends. Also spend the money and get the helms. It will be the best 60 bucks you'll blow on your ride. Really.
