Default ls/vtec swap install question................

it's been almost a month now and my mechanic is still not done with my car, I'm getting an lsvtec swap installed and everything seems to be done but.......my mechanic says the last part is the only thing holding up the swap. He says he needs to get the pins done for the ecu, he said that he has to get all the pins setup right.

now my question is............how hard is it to get the pins setup on the ecu...I have an obd2 gsr ecu and si engine harnesses, is my mechanic giving me the run around or what? See he's got a full time job and opens up the shop in the daytime and his other mechanics work on the swap, he's off work around 6 and is the only guy that is technical enough to handle the electrical stuff.

what are the pins on the ecu and how complicated is it to set it up in the right format (diagram wise)?

SOMEBODY HELP I NEED MY DAMN CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would say that what he means by that is, he needs to pin in the proper added wiring that your original car lacked. Example: VTEC Solenoid, VTEC pressure, etc.

He needs to get some better trained employees and on the other hand I definitely wouldn't be having work done at a shop that you seem unsure about it.

Up until I did my first swap in 99 (92 VX with 99 B18C1), I never wired up anything in a car other than car audio/12V parts. By reading the old hybrid site and understanding the diagrams I was able to easily wire up the necessary sensors and have a CEL free car. So basically it's a fairly straight forward and simple process as long as you have an understanding of how it works.

thanks for the info, well the workers there are good in terms of the mechanical stuff, installs, but my mechanic is the one that does all the electrical and fabricating.
