ls/vtec question
P33? What are your plans for this engine? Camz? You might want to search that crank combo, as i personally don't know if it fits. We do need some more details though.
by p33 i mean del sol si pistons,my plans is to build a reliable ls vtec that is still able to do 14's or so.i plan on using obx cams but i really not sure cuz i hear so many people talking bad about them. what is a reliable setup for an ls vtec ?

and use this as a guide to choosing a pistons, as it still is a beta version. It will probably not give you absolutely exact numbers, but very close. And i think you mean PR3, not p33, if it's the usdm b16 you're talking about. Try searching for dyno threads and whatnot, as I've heard good things about the RM lineup, Buddy club, and Skunk2 camz. I know for sure that if you pm cleanrice he can give you a buttload of info on the rm camz.

i appreciate all the info, i do mean pr3 pistons,i got the golden eagle conversion kit for an ls vtec,i have done a lot of research about ls vtecs but no one has done the bottom end like i did, i have heard people say that the itr crank destrokes the engine by like 37cc, i have had engine running and lacks power,it had low compression on the #3 cylinder so i took the head off and i had bad valve seat so i had that fix and now it is still lacks power.what is amount of compression does a ls vtec supposed to have?
Yes, the crank has a shorter throw and will destroke the engine a little bit. I'm not sure what exact compression numbers you should have, but i bet you can look it up in a haynes or chilton manual or whatev.
