Default ls/vtec pistons

I am just starting to get parts together for an ls/vtec using a b18a block and b16a head. I was wondering if since a b20 has the same crank and rods as a b18a, that je pistons for a b20 would work the same in a b18a with a vtec head. This is assuming the block will be sleeved and bored to the proper size. thanks

are the pistons for a b20 vtec? if you use the strait b20 pistons you will need to fly cut you intake valve reliefs in your pistons because the intake valve are bigger an the vtec heads

The pistons are made for a b20 vtec.

Yes... B20B/Z blocks use the same crank & rods as the B18A/B LS motors. All same internals with an ITR oil pump used on the B20 blocks. As long as the JE pistons are 84mm (or 84.25mm if you're going OS) and are designed to fit the LS rods, then there won't be any problems.
