Default LS-Vtec Piston help

So I just bought a new ls block for my ls/v build for the winter. Its a pretty complete block, only missing random hoses, ect. Now it came with some Eagle rods and CP 9.0:1 Pistons. The block is still stock, not machined or anything. The head I have is also stock.

What do you guys recommend I do to get the compression up a bit? Should I just get new slugs, or have the head machined a bit, or what?

Also, they need new rings and rod bearings as well.. Will OEM Honda fit?

Thanks in advance!

Oh, and before anyone asks goals and whatnot. I'd like to have a hi-comp ls/v, possibly on e85. And it will be a DD for the most part.
