Default LS/VTEC Help!!!!!!!!! ASAP

I am re-doing the head gasket on my ls/vtec this friday and need a game plan, right now I am using a ls head gasket and the car was fine for about 3 weeks then it started to puff white smoke like a forest fire, I have to replace it because its just embarrasing to drive right now, I moved the dowel pins in the B16 head and removed the 2 little copper rings on the LS head gasket...I've heard that when I re-do this I should use copper spray and also that I should move the dowel pins back to their stock locations in the b16 head and bore out the holes in the block so that when the dowel pins are in their stock locations they will fit into the block, and by doing it this way I would be able to use the B16 head gasket...anyone know about this or had experience, any suggestions would be appreciated...
