ls-vtec head gasket

does anybody know which copper rings i have to remove from the ls head gasket from a b18a1 so that it will seal to the b16 head? also what is the best way to remove the copper rings?

take out the rings at the bottom or the exhaust side. im pretty sure thats wers it is. thats the ones i took out when doing my ls/vtec.

i just used some tools to squash it and pull it out. its not to hard, just dont damage the gasket.
