Default ls/vtec dizzy?

I know this has probably been answered a million times but I searched and didn't come up with a answer.I has a 94 LS integra (obd1).I got a obd 0 b16 that I am going to use the pistons and the head off of.Will the ls distributor work or do I need a 94 95 gsr distributor?I have been told the ls will work if I cut the tab off that will interfere with the vtec solenoid but I am not sure where the timing will be.Thanks in Advance

ls dizzy = totally ghetto. pay the extra to get a distributor actually made for the head .
