Ok, so i currently have a jdm second gen b16 in my 97 civ coupe. And I hate it... its slow lol... so next i wanna swap the block and go ls/vtec. But ive been hearing about lots of problems with certain blocks. I plan on boosting once the build is done.. so i want a motor that can take a good amount of boost without me worrying about a piston flying through my firewall =/.. Anybody know which blocks would be BEST?.. (i know ls/vtec means using a b18b block (hense the ls) but i just mean a b16 head on another block haha)

so far all i know is b20s are weak

b20 has weaker sleaves than b18 but ne thing can be strong with enough money

 

hah ... agreed... but lets just say im a college student.. and aside from my occasional poker winnings.. money isnt always available lol..

 

golden eagle just resleeved my ls block, cleaned it, and put block guards in for just over 1k
