LS Swap...Need Help..
I'm swapping in a 2000 LS motor into my 94 civic si.. I'm having trouble with the wiring.. Can anyone help me? I have my 94 si engine harness but the plugs don't fit the alternator for the LS motor and SI P28 ecu? Can anyone tell me where I can get the plug for the alternator? I also have a 94 LS ecu(P75) and the engine harness.. BUt I still run to the same problem.? Is there any alternative routes to do this swap? Thanks guys..
You need to use the P75 ecu but some of the sensor plugs are different on the OBDI harness...such as the alternator. It would have been more simple if you had the OBDII engine harness that came with the LS motor. This would make the swap cleaner and more stock looking.
Remember that there will not be a plug to go down towards the crank sensor near the crank pulley of your LS motor. Don't worry about this sensor or plug because the OBDI P75 ecu will not look for it.
