LS and B20 crank pullies the same....
Just as the title implies. I'm thinking about getting the Unorthodox pulley for my B20, and they state the LS is the same. Are they correct or just talking out their ***?

You can use any Bseries pulley on any Bseries engine. But the stock B20 pulley is larger diameter, and heavier that the LS.

I'm more concerned about the correct timing marks in the correct location. I was ordering the race pulley if that helps.

Most racers (read Professional) are using the stock B18B crank pulley for it's awesome dampening capabilities.

Don't worry about the timing marks, thats why there is a key on the pulley end of the crank, so you can't mess it up. Stick with a stock honda piece, bearings don't like solid pulleys.

Re: LS and B20 crank pullies the same.... (Spade)
and who would these professional racers be? I'm not worried about bearing problems as this is a race motor that will be rebuilt every year or less. If both pullies were the same, would the pulley for the alternator be different sizes? I just got the one for the LS in from Unorthodox today the and the alternator size is different between the Unorth LS pulley and the stock B20 pulley. Once again this is the race one so that is the only thing to go by.
Also, are you talking about the keyway (I think that's what its called) that goes in the crank is what to base the timing off of? How do you do that?

Once installed, regardless of pulley choice, you can set timing like normal. Provided the timing marks are on it. Each different diameter pulley, has different timing marks to coincide. What I meant was you cant get it wrong with the key in the keyway. If its an underdrive pulley, its going to be larger than stock. If the B20 is larger its probably because the B20 crank pulley is larger and would overdrive the alt with a smaller size pulley on it.

Is there a way to confirm the timing marks are correctly marked or should I assume that Unorthodox did their job right?
