Default linkage or cables?

I got h22 goin into a 96 civic ex coupe, the tranny on it is a m2a4(JDM). Do I use cables or shift linkage? Im a newbie at this so work with me here.

Search y0. And there is an h22a topic uptop.

The cables are the shift linkage.
