well we are doing a Sir2 swap in a vx eg! and we took the knock sensor plug out and it end up taking part of the sensor out too! were goin to try to put it back on for now! Do i need a new knock sensor or can i use wit out one!

 

you'll need a new one, unless you chip the ecu to run without the knock sensor!

 

i did the same thing when i was doing a b16 swap for someone

you have 2 options

1) replace the knock sensor (150-200$ new)

2) chipped ecu

Everyone talks about breaking the TPS but no one ever metions how fragile the knock sensor is.
