which k20 is better?

Default which k20 is better?

as the title says which K20 is better. i have heard the A3 isn't a very strong motor. but i plan on rebuilding the motor completely i mean all high performance parts sleeves, pistons, head work everything. so dose it really matter which one i get. any info would apprceiated. those of you who think be cause i'm a noob dosen't mean i dont' knwo anything please be helpful and not f***ing with me.

the a3 has economy vtec
its sort of like building up a single cam vtec engien cept it has 2 cams. you have more to overcome, while the k20a2 has vtec on both cams, and the head flows a lot better from the get go.

yeaa if u got the money go with a k20a ..im sure most people will tell u its overrated and juss to get an k20a2 which is very good too.. but along with the higher comp for my ALL MOTOR wants .. and along with the LSD tranny with final drive also got to got wit a k20a and i love it

Well, stay away from the K20A3. Stick with either the K20A or K20A2. Since you say that you're going to be rebuilding it anyway, I'd probably say go with the A2, those can be found at a less expensive price than their JDM counterparts. Maybe look at getting the K20A transmission though, the higher final drive and LSD would be a good investment.
