Jspecengines.8m.com sucks as a "engine source" it took them a month to send my motor out from the date they first said. I should say he because his business (if you can call it that) consists of him the only employee. After $35 in phone bills to canada because he wouldnt send my motor it finially got here. While it got here it was missing a mount and was dirty as hell grease and oil everywhere. I dont know if it says leakdown and compression anywhere on there but i took out the oil plug to put a new washer on it and oil went spilling everywhere. Though knowing his previous business had been so poor i put the pan down just incase. Then after we put it in we go to start the car and it doesnt start.. it turned over but would start up well after an hour of tryn to see whats wrong every injector has all kinds of build up and crap all over them they look pretty bad. I call telling him what happened with the injectors. This is after being on hold for 3 weeks because he didnt send me the part that should have come with it Transmission bracket. Then it was the wrong one and i had to order it from honda.

To sum it up: Dont buy **** from http://www.jspecengines.8m.com the 1 employee is worthless on helping and fixing his crappy products. The "warranty" means nothing because he isnt willing to fix it.

Your first mistake was by going the cheapest route. You could have gotten some opinions from this board. But thanks for the info..

 

I have seen on other older B16A's the injectors being seized up until you can unfreeze them. These engines are old and have been sitting outside in the rain for quite a while, what did you expect? This isn't a new crate motor or anything.

 

TELL ME ABOUT IT!!!! I bought a engine from him. Turns out I got no axels, motor mounts, the ecu is a p30 AUTOMATIC ecu and other things like sensor plugs cut and engine is really dirty! I understand your pain. Don't but anything from this guy.

 

I looked on here for information and never saw anything... and after i ordered a thread popped up and then i heard something... i just dont want anyone else to get screwed and i dont want this guy to make any money doing it so...

Damn sorry to hear that homey but you should of done a search, and then after that you should of read my post on Hondamotorsonline. My motor is spotless. and i got more than i thouhgt i would. Steve is also great for customer service.! next time shop him and be worry free!!!!

 

I just got my (other) b16a from steve at hondamotorsonline. I have to say he backs up what he sell's. I am very happy now. I guess you live and you learn.

 

Well .... my cv boot busted 3 days after putting it in... thats a whole day after i got my clutch broken in... im still doing good... that bastard said he was gonna give me good axles... i hate that ***
