JDM to USDM ob1 to OB2 wiring harness?
Hey I was just wondering if you guys know of any custom built wiring harness that allow a ob2 jdm motor easily wire up to an ob1 usdm car. I know i am probably going to have to do it custom, but i wasnt sure if there are any people out there just making them for my type of situation? I am doing a 99-01 gsr jdm motor in a 94 ob1 usdm teggie.
Thanks
Thanks

First off, Welcome to the Hybrid forum.
Second, Why would you want a custom harness? JDM motors are *basicly* the same as USDM. What I would do is get a USDM OBD2 GSR harness and take the JDM harness off and put the USDM one on. The OBD2 harness WILL clip right in to your OBD1 chassis harness. IF you do not have ABS (RS model), there will be some plugs left over, do not worry about them. You will not have to cut and hack to the harness at all, it will be almost plug and play.
What ECU you going to use? Because OBD2 JDM motors do not have Vtec pressure switch.

JDM only, USDM have them.

IT matters what ECU you use, If you use the JDM one that comes with the swap, you will not have to wire it up. IF you use a OBD1 or USDM ECU, will have to get a USDM Vtec housing or a window switch to make Vtec work.

If it is the SAME OBD, it will clip in.
If it is the SAME OBD, it will clip in.
