JDM H22a - emissions differences to the USDM ?
I'm going to be going ahead with my H22a-EG soon and I have a few detail questions. Is anyone running a cat with their setup? If the O2 sensor is on that I assume I'll need one as my VX has the cat in the manifold. Thats also my next question - where is the o2 sensor on the JDM engine? I'd rather run with the engine and all required parts functioning. Thanks.

The O2 sensor should be located on the lower section of the H22a header...near the cat, right after the flexpipe.

Yup... same for both US and JDM. I ran no cat on my car, and then put a cat on to smog it before I sold my old H22 EG hatch. Since the O2 is located before the cat, adding a cat or removing one will not affect any of the fuel settings or signals that the O2 sends to the ECU.
