Default JDM H22 ?

OK, so here's the deal, I'm swaping a JDM H22 w/ LSD tranny into my Hatch. The Motor is out of a JDM Accord type s. So I'm trying to get the wiring straightened out. Its been fun to this point. My Hatch is a CX so I had to run all the V-TEC stuff allong with the rest. I need some help Identifiing a canister that came with the motor. Its not the evap canister but a small 3x4x2 with a sensor on it(2 wires a white and a Black/Red).

this text was taken from NTPOG.org.

"You'll also need to remove the electrical connector to the switch housing. Don't worry, it's simply a switched ground from the ECU and power so that it can "switch" the vacuum. Simply tie it off to something else (there is another harness nearby) so that it doesn't flap around"

It apears that it is the "Intake control soleniod valve". Can anybody guess at what it does, I sure don't know and thinking of just ditching it.

No, there is another canister and sensor mounted to the bottom of the intake for that and is plumbed to the butterfly diaphram.
