Hey guys I have a j32a2 in my eg coupe but has a few bugs I need help with. When I drive it it'll hit rev limit at 5k why is this? It's a auto motor 6spd tranny auto ecu non type s so I don't think it's in limp mode but it seems it. Please let me know

 

The motor doesn't care if it's connected to an auto or a standard, but the ECU does. My first suggestion would be get the correct ECU for the manual transmission, then see how it behaves

 

Okay I'll give that a try. One more problem. My speedo acts like a rpm gauge. It goes to 20 then stops. It don't calculate my speed. I had the harness built by don.

 

Okay guys so I check to see if I have vtec which I do not so me hitting rev limiter at 5k must mean I'm in limp mode. What could cause this. My ecu if from a auto non type s car
