Default integra a-pipe question

i have a jdm b18c(1) in my 96 civic ex...i bought a header for a 97 GSR which is supposed to be the closest thing to my motor in the US, but then i realized the a-pipes are different. the bracket to mount it to the block is in a different place...it's too short to line up with the rest of my exhaust...and it doesn't have a place for the O2 sensor...i was wondering if the 00-01 GSR header would fit...from the pictures of the a-pipe for a 00-01 it looks much closer, but i was just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this that might have a helpful suggestion or 2.
thanks.
