Intake problems.........

Intake problems.........
I have 97 Civic hatch, with a 98 LS. I tried running the second long pipe on the Iceman intake down by the front wheels. I can only use the short set-up cause the tranny mount is in the way and covering the hole. Has anyone done this. Help I am losing HP!!!!!!!
