Identifying Calipers
I recently bought a '93 Civic Hatch with a GSR swap. I am the third owner since it recieved the upgrades. The guy I got it from told me it has upgraded calipers but doesn't know what they are from. I've been told I can find a stamped ID number on the caliper itself and then mate up some pads with that. Could anyone help me as to how I could figure out what car the code belongs to? The pads should have been replaced a long time ago as there is only 1/8" material left.
As a side note, I took the car through a wash today and even after 50miles my brakes dont 'grab' like they used to. Any ideas?
Thanks much,
Brandon

That would be logical to assume. I figure'd that I would ask first to make sure it can be identified by that number, and get pointed in the right direction. If a picture would help anyone positively ID it, then I'll get one up tomorrow.

Re: Identifying Calipers (bschulz)
Well after a failed attempt to upload pictures or even a reply yesterday, I surfed out Google for a couple hours with the caliper and pads in my hand. An interesting combination; I'm not sure if its a popular one or not. I have a Del Sol VTEC caliper and '00 Civic Si pads. So does that mean I have the Civic's mounting bracket as well? In any case I have a new caliper on order (nasty seized piston), new rotors, and ceramic pads.
Thanks for considering my dilemma, sorry I couldn't help you help me.
